Mailbox Monday 9/21/2009

This great meme is hosted by Marcia at the Printed Page. Feel free to join in.

Books I got this week:

Well nothing came from publishers but I got:

The Book Thief, by Markus Zukas from Paperback swap.

And

Tara Road by Maeve Binchy, from a surplus box at my mom's moving day.

I really wanted to buy The Last Symbol.. and I think I will this week. I just want to sit down and devour another Robert Langdon escapade.

Happy Monday.

I kind of hated The Book Thief at first, till I got used to the narrator. By the end I thought it was a very worthwhile book to read!

The Book Thief is such a powerful book. It's the kind of book that everyone needs to read. Tara Road is a wonderful story, I always enjoy Maeve Binchy's books.

Tara Road is one of my favorite Binchy's along with Light a Penny Candle. The Book Thief is a very good read. One thing that annoyed me though was the middle of the page with the explanation of terms. I wish that had all been in a glossary. It interrupted the flow of the book for me but the story and the characters made up for it. I hope you enjoy them. Happy reading and have a great week.
