Meet Dexter

So this is my new companion Dexter. I got him to be my reading / knitting buddy. He is 13 weeks old tomorrow. ( I thought 11 but checked out his papers today).

I sure love this guy. Had to post a picture of him after all, from now on, he is the co-author of the blog! I will try not to do the "new parent thing" with a zillion pics.

Thanks for letting me indulge. Oh.. in case you didn't know he is a Basset Hound.

Absolutely adorable, Toni :)

Dar.... he is sort of oblivious to most photo taking right now...like a bull in a china shop... he just plows through everything. ha ha.. but I bet some day he is going to give me the "oh no not another picture look." Most anyone in my life is like that.... ha..

Thanks Jenn... his "adorableness" keeps him from being in trouble a LOT! :)

He is so cute! I've always thought basset hounds were adorable, even as adult dogs. We have to see more pictures! I love pet pictures! :)

Oh he's such a cutie!!! How did you come about his name? Is it because you like it or after Dexter from the TV series?
Whichever, it's cute!

I love his droopy eyes...so cute. I'm a dog lover all around, even when my poor baby is getting older and getting all kinds of health woes.

You're going to love being Dexter's parent!

Hey everyone.. thanks for the comments. He is sweet...and growing really fast. AND full of trouble!!

Margo we do watch Dexter, but I am not sure if the name came from the show. I am trying to think of the progression.... I said.. "how about Dexter?"..and my husband sort of smiled. That is the name that Stuck. I was also wanting to call him Quincy.

Thanks again for the comments. Alyce.. you might just be enabling me by saying it is okay to post more pics. :)

Happy Sunday!!

Ohhhh....he is super cute!!!! I love basset hounds - they are one of the sweetest breeds. Aren't dogs just great? I used to work at a vet and that is what I miss the most - hanging out with doggies all day! Much better than people in my opinion!

Make sure to post more pics as he grows up!!

Amy - I haven't had a Basset Hound before. I had no idea they were so sweet!

Dexter is adorable! Basset puppies are just the best. Millie (my basset) is 2 1/2 and is just the best snuggler ever. And you have to love the howling!
